Yes absolutely. We offer designated WordPress hosting to all our clients. With our managed WordPress hosting you can expect your site to load in super quick time. Our WordPress hosting service costs £36 per month. Just speak to a member of the team if you would like us to host your site as well.
The WordPress websites we maintain rarely break, so we wouldn’t usually expect something to go wrong. However, if your website does break we will carry out an investigation to see what has happened. We fix 95% of issues straight away by either fixing the issue there and then or rolling back to the last known good backup.
On the rare occasion the fix isn’t an immediate one we will contact you directly to discuss the best course of action.
Every time WordPress updates to a newer version a temporary .maintenance file is placed on the server. If the upgrade process fails to complete properly then this may lead to the .maintenance file remaining in place on the server, which locks you out of your admin area and website.
If you don’t know how to use FTP we would recommend you don’t update WordPress or any plugins as this issue is likely to occur at some point.
We will need FTP access to your WordPress website to help fix this issue.
We offer a full WordPress web design and development service through our parent company, Priority Pixels. Any web design or development work that sits outside of our maintenance and security packages would be invoiced for separately via Priority Pixels. To learn more contact us at email@example.com or fill out our form at Priority Pixels.
There are many ways someone can hack your WordPress website. These include software vulnerabilities, a leaked or guessed password, administrator pages that are unauthenticated, database queries that are not clean, unnecessary open ports, phishing or impersonation of an authority that you trust.
Hackers have different motives for compromising a website. Sometimes it’s for financial gain. They can do this by placing spam links on your website or redirecting your website’s traffic to external parties. They may also want to steal sensitive information. They can do this by copying files containing customer data like credit card numbers, personally identifiable information, or login credentials. They may want to communicate a political or social message by defacing a website. Other times they may install Malware by injecting malicious code through scripts or iFrames that pull content from another website that then tries to attack any computer that views the page. Or sometimes people hack a website just for the sheer thrill and fun of it.
Our WordPress web developers have a huge amount of technical knowledge. We don’t just build WordPress websites, we understand how they are put together from the database right up to the front end. If your WordPress website has been hacked please get in touch, we can conduct an audit and either deal with the hacked content there and then or at the very least best advise you on the next steps.
Common signs of whether your website has been hacked include unusual traffic spikes, website visitors reporting malware, newly created accounts with admin access or new pages being added to your website that you did not know about.
